Safe Driver Training   

The "Safe Driver" hands-on training course is designed for all employees who are required to drive a patient and/or company vehicle in order to perform their job duties. The course educates employee drivers about hospital and/or campus driving regulations, the consequences of poor driving habits, defensive driving techniques (especially within a garage environment), and the role of individual driver behavior. The course provides a comprehensive approach to enforcing driving safety in the workplace and to include driving various types and sizes of vehicles.   Employees are taught unacceptable driving habits (i.e. using a cell phone, speeding, adjusting vehicle sound systems) and other topics which cause unnecessary driving distractions and contribute to accidents. Aggressive driving is a new hazard that employee drivers may have to contend with on an ever increasing fast-paced hospital environment.  Our training reviews the steps to remaing calm and avoiding involvement in these dangerous situations. Healthcare Parking Systems has a vested interest and works closely with the hospitals security office in educating employee drivers of the dangers of unsafe driving practices.
